About Me Tony Thai
I was born March 27th 1980, in Vancouver BC Canada.
Since I was a small child, I have always loved art and the feelings it brought out.
It all started with my brother teaching me about abstract art, as he sketched, I followed suit. This lead to a deep fascination with comics and cartoons, as I watched these shows or read the pages I felt a deep urge to draw them. My first pieces of art were copies of art from Archie's and Chinese martial arts comics. When I finally reached High school, I enrolled in art classes and excelled. After I left High school, I decided to follow my brother's example by pursuing a degree in Mechanical Drafting. After receiving my degree, I could not feel happy about the job itself.
A close friend, noticing my indecision, recommended a school for digital arts. After some prodding I enrolled in CDIS (now known as Art Institute of Vancouver).
After my time at school, I did some freelance work to get experience. Instead I took up a job offer to work as a supervisor at Playdium Entertainment, I soon became an assistant manager within a year and a half. After a long Hiatus, I decided to go back to school and I ended up in Digipen, where I gained more knowledge about Art then I ever have before.
